It’s that feeling ya get as a kid when you can’t sit still because you’re so excited. Lance at TRP was incredibly gracious and offered me an opportunity to put a bike in their booth in Vegas. A mad scramble and here it is, ready for the big show. I’m so excited to be heading out there on Monday. But first we have the Verge opener this weekend up in…
Yeah, I’m pretty psyched. I started my Smoked Out thread at Velocipedesalon back in April, and 10,000 views later it’s still going strong. It’s been a great conversation so far. Please join in! In other news, here’s the Mastercam image of the 44 tooth outer Campagnolo CT chainring. Pinned and ramped for your pleasure. Kerry is machining up some of the first 38 tooth rings and these will be next…
Remember the good old days when you could actually pick and choose chainrings at will? You’ll soon be able to relive those days. I’ll be starting with a line of Campy CT compatible and standard 110 bcd. More details to come. Here’s a sneak peak at the 38 inner for Campy CT.
Mr. Anderson took Brian’s vision of creating a tribute to his Grandfather’s flying career and executed a stunning paint job. My lackluster photo skills don’t do it justice. It’s getting built up with Force and some sweet hand-built wheels. Complete build photos coming… Thank you, Brian!

Smoked Out’s got everything you ever wanted to know about your favorite frame builders. And hey…if it isn’t there, just ask! As more and more frame builders are put under the microscope on Smoked Out over on Velocipede Salon, we see builders that are as diverse in their business philosophies as they are in the materials and techniques they use to construct their bicycles. The best part is you can…
Hi Folks,I am putting in my annual FMB tubular order next week. I am going to be doing cyclocross and road tubulars this time around. I highly suggest pre-ordering so that you can get exactly what you need and my stock always runs out fast. Francois Marie makes his tubulars by hand in the tradition of the great tire makers of old. Everything except for the tread and the tube…
David came by to pick up his new bike today. The paint is Baffin blue with a blue pearl coat. Hammered Honjo fenders, Ultegra, and a smart pick on the rest of the components equals an ultra versatile and dependable bike. We’ll see him on it at D2R2 in August. Thanks, David! It’s been a blast working with you on this bike.
